About the competition
STU and its partners announce an Open Competition for the best architectural solution for the design of the main campus building of the Irpin University (or State Tax University), which was almost completely destroyed in the first days of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2022.

In Feb. 2022 russia invaded Ukraine. Irpin (a small town near Kyiv) - became one of the strongholds in the "battle of Kyiv". After more than a month of heavy fighting Irpin' was liberated. However, as a result of war many buildings have been destroyed.
One of them - is State Tax University main campus, which plays an integral role for the city and the surrounding region. More than half of the university buildings were damaged or destroyed as a result of war actions...
Why State Tax University
The STU plays an important role in the life of the region of Bucha/Irpin (population of ~ 200K people) and serves as an educational, scientific, cultural and sports hub for the city of Irpin and Kyiv region. Rebuilding our Main Campus is imperative to inspire the education of future Ukrainian leaders and spurr hope and resilience to the community of Irpin and the whole Ukraine.
Why STU’s mission important?
1. Local Students HUB: STU is the largest educational institution and taxpayer in the region. It creates the “youth vibe” of the region.
2. “Talent Foundry” for the public finances sector: STU is a place where future generations of tax, state finances and customs services professionals are educated. They will propell Ukraine on the path of combating corruption and government inefficiencies.

The winner of the competition will have a chance to proceed to the next stage and participate in designing the full "Project Documentation" for the Main Campus building reconstruction.
